The materials investigated are often synthesized in house using appropriate protocols via melt-quenching or sol-gel. Before the experiments, samples are usually drilled or cut to the desired sizes and then optically polished.
The preparation laboratory has three facilities:
- chemistry laboratory;
- melt-quenching facility;
- sample preparation.
