International Workshop on Complex Systems

International Workshop on Complex Systems aims to serve as a key meeting point for the community working in the field of disordered and complex systems. Since its firts edition in 1981, the workshop’s distinguishing features has been its interdisciplinary approach to topics and techniques, advances in theory, experiments and simulations. The “home” of the workshop is the Paganella plateau, nestled in the heart of the Trentino mountains, where science, snow and skiing have come together fruitfully.

The XVII International Workshop on Complex Systems will be held in Andalo from 9 to 13 March 2026. Andalo is a beautiful village about 30 km far from Trento, located near the ski slopes of the Paganella ski area. The program will be interdisciplinary, featuring both oral and poster contributions. As always, plenty of time will be set aside for discussions. Topics will include:

  • glasses & glass transition;
  • liquids & water;
  • soft matter, colloids & colloidal glasses;
  • biological matter;
  • instrumentations, simulations & new experimental techniques.
